MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
We thank you Lord, for this term.
For the challenges, the successes, and the mistakes from which we have learnt.
Be with us as we spend our time with family and friends.
Give us strength and courage to do what is right: to be witnesses of our faith.
Help us to be a practical Christian these holidays, to appreciate what others do for us, to give time and effort to help others.
To be peacemakers in our family.
Keep us safe in our activities; give us good rest and good fun.
Bring us back refreshed and ready for a new term.
We thank you for our classmates, teachers, parents
And a community that cares for us.
May we always be conscious of you in our lives.
Amen
Happy Holidays
As this is our last newsletter for this term, I wish thank everyone in our wonderful community for their support of their children, and one another. I thank you all for your precious children whom I thoroughly enjoy sharing in their learning journey. I thank our amazing teachers and supportive community for their combined efforts in helping our children grow towards God’s vision for them. I wish you all a safe and happy holiday and that you return rested and ready for Term Four which commences for staff and students on Monday 11th October. Students are expected to wear full summer uniform.

Year 1 Incursion - Brownes Dairy
On Thursday the 16th of September, Year One had a visit from Brownes Dairy. Farmer Damien, Teacher Betty and Amelie the cow came to teach us about cows, dairy farms, dairy production and dairy products. We all got to milk Amelie and taste test a range of yoghurts. We learnt that bubblegum ice cream is made with grapes and that marshmallow yoghurt is made with raspberries. It was yummy and healthy at the same time!
Year 1 Excursion - Spare Parts Puppet Theatre
On Friday the 17th of September, Year One went on an excursion to The Spare Parts Puppet Theatre in Fremantle. We got to play with and explore the handmade puppets in the foyer of the theatre before watching the puppet show: “The One Who Planted Trees”. We even got to ask the actors questions at the end of the show! Luckily the rain held off and we got to have lunch in the Esplanade Park. Thank you to the amazing parent helpers and the parents that came to meet us in the park. It was a wonderful day and we certainly had some very tired children on the bus back.

Athletics Carnival
Athletics Carnival P&F Cake Stall 15th October - Calling all cake, biscuit, and caramel slice makers. On the morning of the Athletics Carnival please drop off your baked (or bought) goods to the stall (set up on the oval) to be sold throughout the day. Individual cupcakes, slices, lolly bags, honey joys, jelly cups, biscuits, scones etc are just some ideas to create. Savoury food is also welcome – mini quiche, pizza scrolls, samosas or whatever else comes to mind.
All money raised from the stall goes to the P&F and it is a wonderful opportunity to hang out at the carnival while eating all those old-time favourites. Please note that our school is NUT FREE meaning all food at the stall needs to not have any nuts. It would be appreciated if home-made items could have a list attached of ingredients included.
Thank you to the Pre-Primary parents for volunteering at the stall on the day and thank you families for contributing your donations.
