Every Student Counts, Every Moment Matters!
A Message from Principal Webb
I hope everyone is having a great weekend! I can't believe it is already NOVEMBER!
I am enjoying my Saturday watching my daughter play basketball and working in between games. :) .
Longfellow has another busy week with the Visiting Author coming on Thursday for a few grades, Parent-Teacher Conferences on Wednesday after school (for those that signed up for that day), and Pre-school will have the fire-trucks visit.
On Tuesday, voting will be taking place at Longfellow. Please be aware of the extra traffic around the school. Just a reminder that PTA will not be holding a meeting this month due to voting, but are working on schedule of events and a new spirit wear order!
Sincerely,
Kelli Webb

Visiting Author/Illustrator on November 8th

News from the Library
The Longfellow Library is starting a new Take a Book, Leave Book lending area. This will be a lot like the Little Free Libraries around town, except just for kids and inside the school. If you have children's books at home that you are no longer using we would love to have them. We do have a few very broad criteria:
- In decent condition, please
- Appropriate for grades K-6 (please no board books or toy books)
- Prefer things published within the last 10-15 years or so (those super old books from Grandma's attic will likely not be selected by any kids, no offense)
Also, the Book Fair is coming up! Mark your calendars for Thursday, November 29th (5-7 pm) and Friday, November 30th (3-5 pm) for the annual Fall/Winter Book Fair in the multipurpose room. See you there!
A Note from Longfellow PTA
Dear Longfellow Families,
Just a reminder that we are currently having our fall “Non-Fundraiser”! Remember: we are not asking you to sell anything, bake anything, or run a 5K! All we ask of you is to consider a tax-deductible donation.
Donate directly online: pta-longfellow.org
Your donations make possible many wonderful programs and events at Longfellow, including field trips, art show, talent show, sports night, artist in residence, ice cream social, bike rodeo, and STEM events. The PTA also helps fund classroom materials, library books, and more! The PTA counts on the generous contributions from Longfellow families for much of our funding!
Many thanks,
Longfellow PTA
