The Great Argyle Read
All Argyle District Libraries Participated in the Great Argyle Read promotion during the 2nd Nine Weeks. Students nominated their all-time favorite books and narrowed it down to the Top 20 titles. Students checked out and read books from the Top 20 list over a period of several weeks, and a final vote was taken to declare the winner. A total of 676 Votes were cast at the Intermediate School (students could vote multiple times) and the 1st Place winner and declared Great Argyle Read title at AIS was Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan. The 2nd Place title was Wonder, by R. J. Palacio, and in 3rd Place was the Last Kids on Earth series, by Max Brallier.

Bluebonnet Book Promotion - Read 5, Then Decide
Our AIS students participated in a Bluebonnet Watch Party, where they watched the book trailers for this year's titles. This activity helped students to know which books they were interested in checking out and reading. The official vote for students who have completed reading 5 of this year's Bluebonnet Titles will take place during the last week in January in the Library.
