News from the Primary Principals' Association...

The new State Government Ministry was announced on Wednesday afternoon. The continuation of Hon. Adrian Piccoli MP as Minister for Education, will be welcomed by NSWPPA Principals. The Minister was acknowledged at Term 1 State Council for his leadership in introducing a number of very worthwhile reforms over his first term in office and his commitment to back up these reforms with significant funding – particularly the $167m for additional School Counsellors and Student Wellbeing support across all Public Schools and the $224m over 5 years for additional teacher development time in our Public Primary Schools. We also welcome the commitment both the Minister and Secretary, Michele Bruniges, made at State Council that 2015 would be a year of consolidation, to ensure the initiatives and reforms of the last few years can be successfully assimilated and implemented effectively in all schools.

After the story you told me about coffee Phil Hollins... :-)
