Drug Prevention

Cigarettes/E Cigs

Did you know…In 2015, approximately 24% of students under age 18 reported using electronic cigarettes or e cigs? These devices are made to look like real cigarettes and use flavored liquids that can produce little to no smoke. Students may refer to using an ecig as “vaping.”

See what the American Lung Association has to say concerning e-cigarettes.

Its that time of year again when our student start to collect Boxtops for our school.

Help our school earn cash by clipping Box Tops from products and sending them to school! Each one is worth 10¢ and our school can use the cash for whatever it needs. See a list of products at

The number one reason to join the Parent Teacher Association is to benefit your child. In doing so, you also help your school. The cost is $8. You can send the money back with your child in the PTA envelope that went home this week. All funds obtained go directly to benefit our students and our school!

When you join PTA it allows you to:

  • Get Connected. There’s no better way to know what’s happening in your school.
  • Watch Yourself Grow. By volunteering with the PTA, you put your skills and hobbies to use for a noble cause—your child and all children in the community.

Crossing Guards Needed!

Plano ISD is looking for crossing guards! We have many students across the district that cross busy streets to get home and we want to make sure this happens safely.

*Crossing Guards are employed by the City of Plano, not Plano ISD.
