What's going on in class?
Math
This week in math be dove into the fourth module of the year. This first part is an introduction into Alberaic processes. The first section is almost complete and we will be having our first Module 4 quiz next week. The students completed the interim testing and handled it very well. Many were asking questions the next day about different problems they had seen and how to solve them. This was great to see!
Language Arts
Next week students will be taking the State Interim test. Please remind your students to bring their charged computers to school for testing.
Science
Please take a few moments to check skyward. Many students have missing assignments due to illness or other reasons. If you are missing an assignment, please pick up any copies or check schoology if it is an online assignment.
As always, safety will continue to be a priority in the classroom. This includes not only proper use of materials, but also listening and paying attention to directions.

The rest of the week, the students learned about the geography of Rome and how it led to the creation of the Roman Empire. On Friday, the students took a quiz over the geography of Rome.
Next week students will continue to learn about Ancient Rome, specifically the rise of the Roman Republic.
Guest Teachers
Elective Fair and AVID Assembly
If students would like to be in AVID, they should complete the application packet and return it as soon as possible. There is a portion for both the parent and the student to complete.
Students of the Week!
Student Expectations
Please charge tablets every night. Many students are leaving tablets in their locker. If your family would prefer that the tablet stays at school, please contact your student's CAT time teacher to make arrangements for secure storage and charging.
No Name Papers
We have had several no name papers turned in this year. If a student thinks they turned in an assignment but it shows missing in the grade book it is likely they didn't put a name on it. Please remind your child to always put their name, class, and hour on their papers.
