EMS S2 Week 10 Announcements
The Know-whats and the Know-hows at Estacada Middle School
Progress Reports Sent Out
On Friday, April 6, progress reports were sent out electronically to families. And, on Monday, April 9, hard copies will be sent home to families without email addresses. Please take a look at the proficiency indicators next to each Essential Learning Standard. We want your student to have shown sufficient evidence of each skill or standard to earn a 2 (developing), a 3 (proficient), or a 4 (mastery). If your student has an "M" next to an Essential Learning Standard, you need to ask your student what is missing or incomplete. Please put yourself into contact with your student's teacher if you need any additional support.
Ellen Whyte Performance with 7th Graders (4/13 at 7:00PM)
Join us on Friday night, April 13th at 7:00pm, to celebrate the work our artist in residency, Ellen Whyte, has accomplished with our 7th grade students. 7th grade students need to be at school by 6:30pm dressed and ready to perform. We are excited to show you the outcomes of the Artist in Residency program and the effort our students have exhibited to answer the question, "How does ancient Africa influence society?" Go Tigers!

Thank you for sending in your Box Tops to EMS. Continue to do so. We have collected enough Box Tops to earn $103.20 for our building. A huge "THANK YOU" to all of our family support and our Service Learning and Leadership classes under the direction of Mrs. Juker. Go Tigers!
Monday's Lockout Drill
On Monday, April 3, Mr. Hargrave directed the building into a Lockout Drill. Students were safely secured in under 30 seconds and all students were accounted for. Great job. He also used this as an opportunity to partner with Clackamas County's K9 Division to sweep the school. Safety first. Go Tigers!

Congratulations to our Advanced Choir! Mr. Frunk notified Mr. Hargrave that the scores (87, 90, and 93) are the highest scores any Middle School has earned during his time in Estacada schools. Wow! Great job, Advanced Choir and continue to work on your craft. Be proud. Go Tigers!
