16.7 Nuclear Fusion Press Release
By Nathan Feggeler
On April 20, Nathan Feggeler who worked for the laboratory of cachinnate. My discovery was the creations of energy through nuclear fusion. This can be important because using fusion as an energy source, we can produce heat. Thermal power plants convert heat into electricity via a heat engine. A well-known example of a heat engine is the steam turbine, which produces around 80% of the world's electricity. So we can use the energy we create from nuclear fusion and power a great part of the world. Nuclear fission is better then fission because creates reactive waste and other harmful by products.
- In nuclear physics, nuclear fusion is a nuclear reaction in which two or more atomic nuclei come very close and then collide at a very high speed and join to form a new nucleus. During this process, matter is not conserved because some of the matter of the fusing nuclei is converted to photons.
- Nuclear fission is a process by which the nucleus of an atom is split into two or more smaller nuclei, known as fission products. The fission of heavy elements is an exothermic reaction, and huge amounts of energy are released in the process.
