Math Quiz Tuesday!

Math News

Chapter 3 - Division of Whole Numbers continues. Students are working very hard at turning those basic multiplication facts around and dividing fluently. Please continue to work with them on their facts. I think many of you will agree that multiplication and division facts are really used everyday in the real world and it is important to know them.

Motion & Force Test Thursday!

Science News

This week we will be wrapping up our Force & Motion unit. Test will be Thursday. We are already beginning to dive in to our next unit, Mixtures & Solutions. Extra Credit opportunities will come home this week in your child's red folder for this unit as well. I encourage your students to take advantage of this opportunity. It really can help out later in the quarter! All extra credit projects are due the day of test.

Students have become crime scene investigators this week. When they arrived Tuesday morning, they found crime scene tape on the door, foot prints on the floor, and our room had been trashed. Later, I discovered someone had poured SALT into my coffee! (Let's just say the kids know how I am about my morning cup of coffee!) They have been busy trying to solve this crime and hopefully we will be able to find the culprit soon. (Ms. Harris doesn't like salty coffee!!!!)

Chorus Performance next Thursday!

Science Fair . . .

Science Fair information packets were sent home on Monday, Nov 10th. I hope that you all have been able to take a look at it and begin having conversations with your child about topics they may be interested in or things they wonder about.

The signed parent letter is due back by Friday, November 14th.

Look for more information in next week's newsletter about helping your child get started.
