take a shower
taking a shower can prevent nasty smells , foods and skin also food poison
wash hands
be sure to wash your hands and lower arms in warm water and soap frequently . hands should be washed before and after handling food after handling garbage, after using cleaning products, after touching your face and hair and of course after using the washroom
always cover hair
keep your hair up in a hair net to prevent any stray hairs getting into the food.
finger nails, cuts
keep your fingernails trimmed and ensure we clean underneath them. any open sores, cuts, boils should be covered with a bandage and possibly a glove.
bacteria
you dont need to look dirty to be a source of contamination. bacteria is everywhere on us; our nose, throat, hair, fingernails, clothes and even in our ears! bacteria love warm, moist places which makes us the perfect host! although there are many types of good bacteria, we do want to avoid cross contaminating our kitchens, equipment and food with bad bacteria whenever possible
