PORTER'S 2ND ANNUAL S.E.L. NIGHT
Our 2nd annual Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Family Night is Tuesday, January 30th! Join us in learning, playing, and growing with your classmates as we explore social emotional stations and resources supporting students of all ages. Our theme for the night is "Better Together: Connecting our Student Body."
CAUSING A DISTRACTION
We have noticed many students got smart watches over the holiday break. While we appreciate the fact students want to wear their watches, we are trying to eliminate the distractions to instruction. The constant beeping, blipping, and tonal sounds are increasingly disrupting our classrooms.
PLEASE HELP US ELIMINATE THE DISTRACTIONS....
- Please leave the smartwatches at home; or
- Please turn the alerts OFF while in the school building; and
- Please do not text or email students during the school day.
If parents need to get a message to their student(s), please call the front office @ 703-580-6501 and we'll be happy to get a message to them. Thank you for your cooperation, we appreciate it.
SEMESTER 1 ENDS ON JANUARY 26, 2024
NOW is the time to follow-up on your student's grades and any missing assignments. NOW is the time to submit any missed and/or late work. NOW is the time to work extra hard and diligently to finish the first half of the year strong!
If you have any concerns or questions, please reach out to your child's teacher(s).
