Matthew 5:1-12

The Beatitudes are part of the Sermon on the Mount. These are short, but powerful descriptions of what it looks like to live life God's way. In this weekend’s Gospel reading Jesus turns our definition of success upside down. He says blessings belong to those who put others first. People who are humble will receive an inheritance. And people who suffer for the name of Jesus are eternally blessed.

The Beatitudes are a new attitude. They are a new way of looking at the world. If we live by the Beatitudes, we will be blessed!

Colder Weather

As the days get shorter, the snow begins to fall and the temperatures drop, here's a friendly reminder to make sure your child has the appropriate clothing for outdoors. Students will be required to go outside for recess until the temperature reaches an outside temperature of -25C (this includes the wind chill). Students should have a warm coat and boots, as well as gloves/mitts, toques and snow pants.

Wellness Wednesdays

Academics are a key component of school, but the student experience isn’t solely defined by their education. The wellness team at Holy Redeemer believes that school is about the friends you’ll make, the moments you’ll experience, and the passions you’ll discover.

This year we will be hosting Wellness Wednesdays! This will be an activity, challenge, spirit day, fundraiser etc. At Holy Redeemer we want to build connections. Student connections with their peers, teachers, school, and community. Wellness Wednesdays will also be a support for mental health and will be designed to promote a balanced lifestyle beyond the academic.
