Prayers of our faith span the globe and can have amazing stories of uniting, take for example the French origins of the prayer of Saint Francis. So today let us pray in multiple languages.

Prayer of Saint Francis

Claudettte:

Eric:

ubi dubium, fidem;

ubi desperatio, spem;

ubi caligo, lucem;

ubi tristitia, laetitiam.

Elizabeth:

Que no me empeñe tanto

en ser consolado

como en consolar,

en ser comprendido

como en comprender,

en ser amado

All:

For it is in giving that we receive

It is in pardoning that we are pardoned.

And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

In the name of the Father, the Son and of the Holy Spirit

Amen.
