May Library Newsletter
Last Month
The last month has been a busy one. We had poetry lessons with all classes, a crowded library some days when we didn't have enough substitute teachers, and lots of students checking out books! I received my last two book orders and I've been weeding old books from the collection.
6th Grade Social Studies Visits
All 6th grade Social Studies classes came to visit and did a U.S. Geography break-out activity. Winners were able to come claim a prize! This activity had excitement, shouting, and running--basically all the things you wouldn't expect in the library! :)
Diagon Alley is getting prettier!
The Garden Club has planted some very nice plants in the barrels in "Diagon Alley" that library patrons get to enjoy as they walk past the windows. Garden club will be selling some of these plants during KuzuriCon on the 27th!
New Books!
New books have to be scanned in to the computer, stamped with our library's name, and labeled with color-coded dots to show what genre they belong to. This was our last shipment for the year! NJHS students can always come work in the library before or after school to get some merits. Just see Ms. Key to schedule it!
