Lead Learner Highlights

We have had a wonderful return to KP after the winter break. It is great to see students connecting again in the hallways and lunch rooms and collaborating in the classrooms. We have 2 weeks before the close of quarter 2 on January 20th and encourage you to talk with your child about their progress and invite you to reach out to your child's teachers with any questions or concerns. We continue to operate our school homework club on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 3:00-4:00pm to complement the supports provided by teams and individual teachers. In addition, we have an expanded learning time for students to get caught up on missed work with adult supervision during our Saturday Academy (please contact your child's MA teacher or team leader to sign up).

In this edition of the KP Connection, we have some resources for families below and a few reminder announcements. Have a wonderful weekend.

Morning Drop-Off Reminder

School Start Time:

The first bell rings at 7:40 am. Due to a lack of supervision, students are not permitted in the building prior to this time unless they have a scheduled meeting with a staff member.

Morning Drop-Off:

Parent/Guardian drop-off happens in the back of the building. For the safety of our students and to expedite bus arrivals, we are reminding parents/guardians to please drop off students in the circle at the Mohawk entrance at the back of the school. There will be adults there to usher them to their appropriate team area. Thank you.

KP Musical Information

KP Drama is thrilled to announce our upcoming spring musical: Seussical! It is a story that teaches us the importance of loving ourselves for who we are, the power of friendship, and that a person's a person, no matter how small. Auditions for the show will take place on Tuesday,Thursday and Friday, January 19, 21 and 22. Students will have to prepare a song from a musical and sign up for a time slot.
