Miss Scherer's Weekly Update
5B Humanities
Our Week (January 27th to 31st)
Students:
reflected upon their Columbus research and evaluated whether they had more positive or negative evidence of Columbus's effect on exploration. They chose their top three positive or negative reasons (evidence) to develop their topic (claim sentence). Then, they began type, on google docs, their 5 paragraph argumentative writing piece. They also practiced how to "restate" their writing to develop a summary paragraph. Each student will meet one on one with Miss Scherer this week for a Writing Conference.
- met with their Reading Accountability Buddy, chose a question to discuss about their books, reflected upon their WIG, and wrote in their journals about their experiences.
