Better ingredients make better beauty

The average woman uses 12 beauty products in the morning, which adds up to hundreds of chemicals every single day, many contain harmful chemical ingredients that can affect our health and the health of our families. Every product you choose to put on your body counts.

The Care industry is self-regulated. Companies are allowed to use toxins - ingredients that have been linked to cancer, reproductive issues, and hormone disruption - without telling us. The United States laws regulating ingredients in beauty products haven’t been changed since 1938.

Cancer diagnosis in U.S women increased 50% since the 60's. Learning and developmental disabilities affect more than 1 in 6 children in the U.S. Environmental factors, like toxic chemical exposures, are a major contributing factor, estimated at 28%.

Beautycounter creates safe, toxic free, vegan, effective anti aging skin care and cosmetics for women, men & children. Our unparalleled Ingredients selection process handpicks the best ingredients without compromising your safety. We have banned more than 1,500 toxic ingredients setting a new health and safety standard—all while ensuring our products perform, and that they're as indulgent as any luxe shampoo, lipstick or oil in the market.

As a Yoga professional, I preach "Ahimsa", the principle of non-violence to others and oneself, including body and mind. Healthy food and exercise are in vain, if we poison our body with dangerous chemicals on a daily basis. Our skin is our biggest organ and absorbs 60% of what you put on it. Educating ourselves is key to take charge in looking beautiful without compromising our health. After I heard about this company's social mission of educating families about the need for safer cosmetics, I knew I wanted to get involved and share the gift of health with my community. Namaste
