Dear Parents,

To allow for additional social distancing, we have changed the times of our award ceremonies next week. If your teacher sent you and invitation, please note the updated times. This change will allow us to have one grade level in the cafeteria at a time.

Any parent invited to the awards should arrive prior to the start time. You will need to sign in by scanning a QR code with your cell phone before entering the school. Please allow time for the sign in process before the start of the award ceremony.

Manatee Elementary School

We had a great first meeting of the Family Game Night Committee! Family Game Night is

Manatee’s new spring family event. The committee is focused on taking the teachers’ favorite

books and making them come to life and on transforming familiar family games into enormously fun experiences. This is a new event for Manatee and we are looking for volunteers to help us plan, design, and create this gigantically fun occasion. This is a great opportunity to get involved in the school and be part of the beginning of something new and wonderful. Meetings will be held weekly - come to one, two, or all! Meetings are from 8:30 - 9:05 in the Media Center on Tues 1/18, Mon 1/24, Mon 1/31, Tues 2/8, Tues 2/15, and Tues 2/22.

Family Game Night will be held on Friday, March 4th from 4:30pm - 6:30pm at the school.

Spring Book Fair -We will be looking for volunteers to help with this awesome event. Just as in the fall we will have multiple shifts on multiple days. This is a great way to feel connected to the school and pass on a love of reading! Stay tuned for more information on how to get involved.

ALL school volunteers & visitors must be registered with Brevard Public Schools. The only

exceptions are if you have a meeting with your child’s teacher (or administration) or you are

attending a grade-level event in the cafeteria.

To become a registered volunteer you must fill out the form at District and School Security /

Volunteers AND get fingerprinted at the School Board Building on Judge Fran. Blvd.

The $35 fee is currently waived.
