POWER OF ONE
FIRST IMPRESSIONS ARE LASTING IMPRESSIONS
What was your POWER OF ONE?
What was your number one activity you planned for the first day of school that was impactful, made your students yearn for more, excited them to return to school for day 2 in your room? Reflect on this, put it in writing, and place it on my desk by Wednesday. This is a huge part of growing professionally, reflecting on your actions and the results received from them. We want to wow our kids with learning, make them question and want to learn more. Remember how you learn as a student, action is better than sitting and getting. Evaluate your day so far, percentage wise who is doing the most talking you or them? Let's work smarter not harder....and see where it gets us.
Leadership is not a position or title, it is action and example!
Leadership, according to MindTools.com is about creating an inspiring vision of the future, and inspiring others to go along with that vision. The word leadership brings to mind many different images or thoughts for many different situations. Leaders have a strong sense of direction and are very passionate about achieving the goal. Leaders make a difference! Who of you is ready to step forward and move Rann to the next level? I have heard from many of you about different things you want to pursue in your class, or for the building. Share with me your passion to step forward and be a leader at Rann. Where do you see yourself in five years? How are you growing professionally to stay on the cutting edge of educational pedagogy? What vision do you have to make Rann a better place for our students? Send me an email by Monday, August 29th if you are ready to move to the next level professionally. This will require some time for get togethers after school to learn from each other and time to collaborate on how to do things better at Rann so it will make a difference for our kids. I am excited about this adventure we are about to take on. I look forward to working each of you as we all learn and grow from each other.
