Carbon Cycle

By Kyla Woodruff

What is Happening?

We can all see changes and alterations in the environments around us such as rivers, forests, oceans, even deserts. One of our main problems is our forests and water. Our water is no longer running and our forests are no longer lush and beautiful. I believe that the main reason is that our carbon cycle is off more than we want it to be.

Carbon is the fourth most common element ever. It is found in all living things and if it disappeared, so would we and all the living things around us. It is also one of the basic building blocks for all living creatures. It is needed so much that it is even found in every single cell in the body.

Description of the Carbon Cycle

Burning fossil fuels releases a lot of carbon dioxide into the air. The plants then take in the carbon dioxide and changes it to oxygen. Another way carbon gets around is whenever an animal dies, its remains go into the soil. The carbon is then released into the air.
