A message from the principal
Happy Happy Thursday and Winter party day! Whoo hoo! We are so glad to be back in the full swing of having everyone be able to attend fun experiences at Harrington. Thank you to all of you who came to our Winter Party! Everyone had an absolute blast.
As we near the end of the semester and begin our holiday break, I hope you are able to make the most magical memories with your children. That's our hope every day! Thank you for entrusting us with your most precious gift! We are looking forward to the next semester and all that the it brings. Thank you for supporting and making 2022 one of the best school years yet! We are hopeful and excited for what the New Year may hold. For now, we hope you are able to reflect on a few warm and happy memories with your students at Harrington.
Don't forget tomorrow we dismiss at 12:00.
May you have the best holiday break!
Stay warm and safe!

New Sign in Time
Beginning January 4th, all students arriving after the start of the school day (7:40am) must be signed in at the front office. Signs out front will remind you to park and walk your child in after the tardy bell has rung.
Items in Lost and Found will be donated on December 16th!
Please encourage your children to go look for their lost jackets, hats, water bottles, and more before Winter Break!
Visitor Sign-Ups
We are pleased to welcome visitors back to campus for lunch and assemblies. We do ask that visitors please sign up prior to any lunch or assembly visit using the links below. This will allow us to plan for the number of visitors to expect, as well as expedite the sign in process.
Please remember to always check in at the office and have your photo ID with you when you come.

Counselor's Corner
This month our character trait is Compassion. We are defining compassion as: I care about how others feel. I put other people’s needs before my own. I do kind and thoughtful deeds for those in need. I include others. I offer to help others.
This week during our guidance lessons we are discussing ways to show compassion for our classmates, teachers, and family.
Compassion Conversation Starters: How does it feel when people are kind to you? Why do you think it is important to show kindness? How can I show compassion to others this week?
December 2022 Volunteer of the Month – Clair Groves
Congratulations to Clair Groves – Clair is the December Volunteer of the Month!
Clair, Mom to Nora - 1st grade, Charlotte - 4th grade, and her oldest daughter Chloe who went to Harrington K-5 and is now a Junior at Plano Senior.
Clair is being honored this month for her dedication to Harrington. Clair makes weekly visits to the library where she dedicates her time to make sure it’s ready to go each week for classes.
Clair also volunteers throughout the year at various events and her very favorite - Field Day!
When asked why she loves to volunteer at Harrington –
“I love this sweet school! I love getting to help out the teachers and staff, and that I am able to get to know them. I love getting to see and know the students, too. I’ve also met some other wonderful volunteers, who I am now lucky to call friends. Harrington is so special to our family and knowing I have small part in it, makes me happy” - Clair
A great big Husky thank you goes out to Clair for all she does to make Harrington a success!
