Veterans Day Program
Dear Warrior Families,
On November 11th, Sevier Middle School will be honoring our veterans at a special ceremony. I have attached a form that is needed for information about the relatives of Sevier students who have served/currently serving in the military. Will you please complete this form and return to me or have your child drop it by the school office. The ceremony will begin at 8:00am on Monday, November 11th, 2109. Thank you
Debbie Moore, Sevier Family Liaison
Vaping Info
Very interesting information regarding identifying vaping products from the Today Show:
https://www.today.com/video/students-are-hiding-vaping-devices-in-plain-sight-70976581947
As you are aware, vaping is an increasing problem in our region. Several students (in other districts) have been sent to ER due to the effects of vaping and the inconsistency with contents. CDC has now given the vaping illness a name/diagnosis due to the effects on the lungs:

Calling All Math Teachers!
A middle school math symposium is scheduled on Monday, November 18 (3:15-4:45) in the Watauga Room (third floor - ASC). Coffee Cart-Feel Good Friday
Feel Good Friday just keeps getting better! Stephen Baker had the awesome idea to start up a coffee cart for the Warrior Academy kiddos and the FA-3 kiddos to run together on Friday mornings. The cost will be $1.00 per cup, and we have creamers and sweeteners as well!
The funds will just replenish the cart from week to week, but the personal interaction and functional skills the kids are going to learn from this will be invaluable! I am looking forward to watching them grow throughout the year and build relationships with you all through this venture!
I have included the Google Sheet that we will use each week to fill orders. There is a cell for your name, classroom number for 1st period assignments, type of drink, and if you need a disposable cup, or if you'll have your own mug for us to make it in!
Thank you all in advance for your support of this fun idea, and to Baker for getting it all together. I love our big Warrior Tribe!
Thanks again!
Baker and Megan

Model City Fall Festival
We had a great time at the Model City Fall Festival yesterday! We had lots of students stop by the event including future, present, and even former students. It was a great opportunity for our students and families to connect and foster relationships! I hope that everyone keeps this event in mind for next year.
We have several more events coming up including Grandparents Fall Party next Thursday at 11:00am. Last year we had 62 students living with an "other" guardian. Most were grandparents. This event is a way to bring our grandparents into the school and find out any needs they are having while building relationships and having fun! Please help advertise on your media platforms!
