STUDENT ORGANIZATION UPDATES
cREATIVE WRITING CLUB
The Creative Writing Club (CWC) is off and running! Our fall kickoff event, in keeping with the club’s mission to provide a safe, fun, and collaborative space for creative literary expression, celebrated a dozen student voices in an exploratory “Writing Marathon” hosted by the club’s student leaders. We now looks forward to two upcoming events: On Wednesday, October 20 at 7pm via Zoom, the CWC will host a costume party. You can come dressed as your favorite author and/or recite some of their work, or just come and observe. Then, on Wednesday,
November 10 at 7pm via Zoom, the CWC will host Montana Poet Laureate, Mark Gibbons,
for a poetry reading and Q&A session. All faculty, staff, students and CCP enrollees are
welcome to attend!
For further inquiry, please contact any of the CWC leaders: Kelly Harter (kharter7@kent.edu),
Jeremiah Harbour (jharbour@kent.edu), or Daniel Groves (dgroves1@kent.edu), or club advisor, Professor Jessica Jones (jjones1@kent.edu). The CWC is also on Instagram
(@ksucreativewriting) and Facebook (@ksustarkcreativewritingclub).Black United Students First Meeting
