Message from Principal Blazek

BMS Families,

When we started school this fall we did not know what the days ahead would bring. The reality is that we still don't but I have seen our community come together and make the best of our different learning models and COVID safety precautions. In action, our model is working to keep everyone safe and has helped reduce the number of individuals needing to quarantining when individuals show symptoms or test positive for COVID. Our goal is to keep be able to keep offering the hybrid options and to do so we will continue to focus on our 3W (Wear your mask, Wash your hand, Watch your distance).

With all of these changes have come new challenges for families and we want to thank you for your partnership at home. We encourage all of you to take time during Fall Break to focus on your family and activities that bring your family joy. There will be no school tomorrow Thursday, October 15th, and Friday, October 16th for all Cohorts and Farmington Academy.

Finally, today is our last collection day for our Step It Up Fundraiser and we have already raised almost $11,000 for Boeckman. The money we raise this year will go towards providing learners with personalized learning experiences. These experiences will virtual experiences and learning tools, and we hope to eventually be able to use to support the signature trips and speakers we had planned for.

Thank you,

Megan Blazek, principal

Week at a Glance Reminder – Check Boeckman Website!

We want to make it as easy as possible for learners and parents to know what is happening in school. Each team is committed to keeping their Week at a Glance updated with teacher contact information, times for virtual coaching sessions, codes to access those sessions, and a snapshot of what is happening in each class. Week at a Glance documents can be found on the Boeckman website, under the “Academics” tab.

Social-Emotional Survey Coming Soon

Please see the letter, linked HERE. Students will be asked to complete this survey during one of their Tiger Connection classes by the end of October. The data provided by students completing the survey can ensure that the actions our schools are taking are working, and help decide whether to continue or change what we are doing. Please see the letter for more details, linked above.

Google Meets Update

In some cases, we have found that Google Meet from Self Service is not updating. If your child is having issues, they will need to go to Self Service and reinstall Google Meet. Once the button to reinstall is pressed a circle will spin for a bit then it will say reinstall again. If you look at your Google Meet app, it will be loading. Once it has loaded then it should work.
