This Week in Room 300...
We are finally on somewhat of a normal schedule this week with no major events going on! Yay! With only 4 weeks left in the school year, we are working hard to cover everything we need to to be more than prepared for first grade!
Math: We are done learning all of our report card concepts, so we will be reviewing, reviewing, reviewing for the rest of the year. We will especially spend time on some of the concepts (like addition/subtraction) that need continued practice for first grade.
Writing: We will be writing about insects and even creating our own insects in writing! :)
Reading: Now that we are back to a normal schedule, we will be back to our normal reading group schedule as well!
Science: We will be finishing up our insect unit.
Mother's Day Tea: Thank you for coming!!
Thank you so much to all of the moms that attended our Mother's Day Tea! We worked so hard to get ready for that event and celebrate all of the special moms! I hope that you each felt loved and celebrated. We appreciate you taking the time to come and be with us!
Awards Day: Friday, May 29th
Our Class Awards Day will be Friday, May 29th at 8:30am. These awards will take place in our classroom. EVERY child will receive an award, and we would love to have family attend! We understand that many of you have to work, which is why we are having it early in the morning. It should not last longer than 45 minutes. :)
Magazine Sales
The magazine sales fundraiser will begin tomorrow, May 12th, with a kickoff at the end of the day. You should be receiving information about this fundraiser. It is a great way for us to raise money for our school!
