What About Girls Who are Working on Arrow of Light?
A question has arisen regarding 5th grade girls working on AOL.
All Cub Scouts are expected to complete all requirements to the best of their ability.
We are in a time of transition and just need to be flexible.
- A female Webelos Scout can visit a Troop to observe how it works. We collectively understand no female Troops are organized yet and can’t be until February 1st, 2019 but we can still provide those expecting to bridge the opportunity to see a Troop in action.
- A female Webelos Scout needing to complete an overnight visit can attend with a parent and camp individually to the side of the Troop.
I think the overriding message is we need to do our best to uphold the spirit of the requirements, abide by YPT policies and use common sense. The Webelos Leader signs off when they believe the requirement has been completed.
