Caught Being Kind

OUR GRAY HAWKS are doing amazing things everyday to show kindness and make OUR school the best place it can be. Kindness is so important and we want our students to know their acts of kindness matter. Every Friday, Miss Hubbard will recognize students she has caught being kind throughout the week. Students who were caught being kind will have their name and act of kindness announced over the intercom, receive a certificate, and have their picture and act of kindness displayed at school.

Homecoming Week! Spirit Weeks and Parade on Thursday

The theme for Homecoming this year is HOLIDAYS and OUR GRAY HAWKS voted and chose Halloween as OUR theme for the float. Everyone is invited to walk the parade route and kids are invited to ride the float. We ask that students bring a bag of candy that they can throw out to the crowd along the route. We had an absolute blast last year and we would love to have OUR kids join us on the float.

If your child would like to ride the float, they need to find us at Holy Angels Church and then be picked up in the parking lot at the high school.

GRAY HAWK NEURO-NEWS

Relationships are essential to human life. Research demonstrates that when teachers establish a true empathic connection with students, they are able to engage and reengage students in learning, and actually heal and grow children’s brains. In episode 3 of this 5 part series, Dr. Perry discusses the important role relationships have in learning, and gives us practical ways to do this in the school setting.
