PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Vests
It has been great to see all the children wearing vests to and from school. Children can be easily seen in vests when they walk to and from school. This makes it easier at school crossings around the town and motorists can see the students and stop safely.
Breakfast in Schools
On Wednesday, 1 December there will be no Breakfast in Schools that day.

Congratulations
Congratulations to these akonga who have been recognised by Road Safety Southland, Ricoh South and Mee & Henry Law Limited recently for their contribution to our sporting community and showing commitment to a task.
Carter Holdaway - who biked 15kms to and from school several times during the ‘Virtual Southland Road Tour’ his class took part in.
Travis Wech for coaching and reffing a Hauroko Valley School team when they did not have a coach or a referee for the day.
Brooke McVeigh & Gemma MacKenzie for using their initiative for their PALs activity
Hunter Sterne, Jessie Wech, Lachlan Egan & Liam Montgomerie for managing a school touch team on Monday afternoons.
And especially well done to Room 3 who have won the Southland-wide ‘Virtual Southland Road Tour’. Their prize, a Mr Whippy for everyone at our kura, will certainly be applauded!
Whats happening...........
Library Books
It's that time of the year again when all the school library books are being recalled for the end of year stocktake. If your child has any school books at home then please return them to school as soon as possible to avoid any lost book charges ($20 per book), being added to your school account.
Thank you very much.
School Accounts
Could School Accounts please be paid before the end of the school year.
We are changing to a new management system next year so it would be great to get the accounts tidied up in 2021.
