Fall is here!
Week of 10-4-10-7
John returns for a visit!
Our Canadian friend and former classmate, John S., came in for a surprise visit today. We were surprised and excited! Last year John was in our class. Over the Summer, John and his family moved to Ontario, Canada. He brought his brother into our class today. We welcomed them into our math class!! We miss you John but, you look GREAT--taller and smiling!
Rosh Hashanah 2016
This Monday was Rosh Hashanah, we had no school. This is a celebration of the Jewish New Year! On this holiday, dinner is usually celebrated with family. Some of the things that might be on the menu are, matzoh ball soup and apples with honey. This is a happy holiday!
Visit by Motivational Speaker Scott Chesney
Yesterday, we saw a great presentation by a great person!! Scott's message was beautiful-- He believes you have a choice- to be happy.
He asked us to try to do challenging things, like when he tried to walk again. He also went skydiving even though, he was paralyzed and terrified!!
Scott Chesney talks about his injury
Door Decorations
Our school is doing a door decorating contest. This is to go along with the RESPECT themes our school has chosen. Our homeroom is putting up a tree with student goals written on leaves. It will also have clouds and raindrops representing the negative influences students must overcome to achieve their goals. Winning doors will be selected at every grade. The contest ends next week!!
