Sparling Newsletter
Oct. 19, 2021
Dear Families,
Thank you to all our parents who came out or joined virtually to our School Council meeting. Our next meeting will be the AGM and we would love to see you there! This is a great opportunity to meet Mr. Skinner and myself, ask questions or talk about any concerns.
Lastly, Sparling School will be offering a hot meal once a week to our students at no charge. This is part of the Alberta Education Nutrition Grant. We encourage you to still send lunches on those days in case your child chooses not to eat the hot meal provided. This Friday will be a Pancake Breakfast and we always include a gluten free option!
Sincerely,
Andrea Gutmann
Halloween
- Students need to be INDEPENDENT with their costume and this includes going to the bathroom.
- Students need to arrive in costume and we encourage minimizing any accessories as we want to make sure all items make it safely home for the weekend
- Keep costumes simple so students can move freely during recess and gym
- At this time we ask that no inflatable costumes are sent
Lastly, we ask that no treats are sent to share with friends or with the class at this time. We will be providing a couple pre-packaged treats for our students to enjoy on behalf of the Sparling Staff.
We will be sending home a permission form to post pictures and take video of a Halloween parade to share with our community. Please ensure you return this signed to your teacher.
Thank you for your support and understanding!
