Would you like to win $50?

Digital Media Contest Information

You are to create a video about why you enjoy reading. You can mention a number of things including: your favorite books and/or authors and the benefits of reading. You may dress up for your video, use props or special images. The key is to be creative. Be sure to look at the rubric below that will be used to evaluate your video. You want to address all four categories: creativity, originality, the use of props/visual aids, and enthusiasm. Contest begins September 10th and ends October 26th


All entries will be uploaded to the library’s website. Students will vote for the best video in each grade in advisory class. The student with the most number of votes will win a $50 Target gift card. There will be two winners; one from each grade.


  1. It is highly recommended that you use the library’s green screen

  2. Maximum length is 1 minute

  3. No inappropriate images or content

  4. It is recommended you use the “Veescope Live Green Screen” app that students may download from the Catalog. Would you like help using this app during advisory? If so, click here or access the form below and provide your information.

  5. All entries must be submitted by Friday, October 26th

  6. Winner will be announced by Wednesday, October 31st

  7. Sign the attached "VAPA Media Release" by you and your parent and email it to library.rdm@sweetwaterschools.org when submitting your entry. Failure to submit the form may jeopardize your participation in the contest.

Uploading Video

You are to upload your video entry to a Google Drive folder linked here.

The file name should be your ID number.
