Congratulations FDES Readers Rally Team! This team of AMAZING readers made history at FDES by being the 1st team in the school's history to make it to the finals of this quiz-bowl styled competition. Our students placed 2nd in the district! We are SUPER proud of them! Way to go!
3rd Grade Student's engaged in Project-Based Learning of European Explorers! Students were able to formulate questions like historians. They also taught others about the motivations and accomplishments of European Explorers. To culminate their learning, students created Wanted Posters and other depictions of the explorers. Well done 3rd grade!

Parents of ALL Fort Daniel students - Be sure to come out for our Scholastic Book Fair Thursday, March 17th (3:30-5:30pm). The Book Fair will also be open Tuesday, March 22nd (12:00 pm -3:00 pm) - Digital Learning Day - drop in when you can! We look forward to seeing you in the Media Center!

Family Support Night
What: A night to learn about how to support your children ages birth through 5th grade with behavior and learning.
When: March 24th 5:45 pm - 6:45 pm
Where: Fort Daniel Elementary School
Who: Families of the Fort who want to support their children's learning and behavioral skills
Logistics: RSVP to the link below with number of adults and number of children
We will have people available to supervise the children so that the whole family can come.

PTA General Board Meeting will be held Tuesday, March 15th at 6:30PM via Zoom (link below).
Bylaw Changes:
- To reduce quorum from 25 members to 15
- To reduce the Nominating Committee from 5 members to 3 members, plus 2 alternates.
- To increase our current executive board members term from 1 year to 2 years
The New Amended Budget will also be shared.
Nomination Committee
Are you interested in helping us finalize our PTA Executive Board for the next year? Please consider joining the Nomination Committee.
The Nomination Committee is a group of 5 (including the Principal) plus 2 alternates for a total of 7. The nomination committee accepts applications for the executive board and picks officers (1 for each position) to be submitted for general election. Meetings will be at the discretion of the committee. If interested, please click on the link below and fill out the Nomination Committee Form and send it to us.
