March 2-7

Famous Missourian

We are gearing up for our Famous Missourian unit in Writing. This Monday, a list of Famous Missourians will be posted on our classroom websites. By Wednesday, March 4, students need to have looked through the list and written down their first three choices. Please have a discussion at home with your child about who they would like to research. Once they have turned in their three choices, we will assign them a Famous Missourian on Thursday, March 5. On Thursday, March 5, a parent letter will come home, with all the details and deadlines for this unit. We hope that by providing this, you will be able to post in on your refrigerator and stay up to date with the weekly expectations. The Famous Missourian Event will be held on April 21st.

Reading Logs/Tic Tac Toe

We wanted to remind everyone that the Reading Logs and Tic Tac Toes are an ongoing expectations. New logs are sent home each Friday in the Take Home Folder. We recommend the students read 120 minutes per week AND fill out the Tic Tac Toe questions on the back for continued improvement of their reading skills.
