A Special Farewell to the 2014 - 2015 PTSO Executive Board

Another school year is coming to an end, as well as the 2014-2015 PTSO Administration. This year, the PTSO Executive Board has worked hard to assist the GCA staff and families to make everyone's school experience more enjoyable. The PTSO has hosted many events over the school year that have made life time memories and friends for both students and families alike. Be sure to show the current Board your appreciation as you see them at the End of Year Events throughout the month of May.

It's Teacher Appreciation Week!!

The PTSO would like to thank our GCA teachers for all the hard work they have done for GCA students this year. Without these wonderful teachers, GCA would not be the wonderful school that it is.

Here are a few things that you and your students can do to show your appreciation.

1. You, the learning coach, can write a letter of appreciation and send it to the teachers through kmail.
2. Your student can write a letter of appreciation and send it through kmail.
3. Create and send an e-card to your teacher.
4. Send your teacher a hand-made or store bought gift.
5. Have students prepare a PowerPoint presentation slide and attach it to a kmail.
6. Have your students make a poster, take a picture with it and then send it as attachment in a kmail or through snail mail.

PTSO Dollar Drive : Help Support GCA Students!!!

Our $pring for Spring Fundraiser has ended, but the Drop in a Bucket Dollar Drive is still underway. The Drop in the Bucket Dollar Drive will continue to raise money for our End-of-Year Events. We are asking everyone to donate $1; that's it, it is only ONE dollar. All money raised will go toward picnics to help our GCA students celebrate another school year coming to an end and all the hard work they have done this year. The more money we raise the bigger and better these events can be, so head over to the link below and drop a dollar in the bucket.

You might think it is only a dollar, but oh what a difference a dollar can make! Click here to drop your dollar in the bucket!

Call for Volunteers!!!!

We need Region Leads for the 2015 - 2016 school year. If you are interested in actively participating in the planning of your region events, please contact Melissa Alewine at gcaptsoregchair@gmail.com about becoming a Region Lead, co-lead, or volunteering in your region.

We are looking for volunteers to fill our committees for the 2015 - 2016 school year. The volunteer list will be scrubbed clean at the end of this school year; if you are a parent volunteer for the 2014 - 2015 school year, you will need to fill out the survey for next year. We would like to get the committees filled so we will be able to have a few meetings and get training ready for the beginning of the upcoming school year. We want to hit the ground running next year! Please be sure to fill out the survey here and someone will be in touch with you soon.
