What's happening at the winery

Our fearless leader, Trent, is still in Spain. We expect to have him back in about a week. It's been a long vacation for him, but well deserved.

Peter has been keeping an eye on the wine cache. He's been handling the usual testing and tasting. We had some trouble with our new Kegerator so we got a replacement unit. Peter has it all hooked up now and it's chilling our white wines to perfection. The old Slushie machine is now up and running and so we'll have a great supply of Slushies this weekend.

We also replenished our bottle stock so we have lots of wine in the tasting room and we'll be bottling a couple new wines soon. All is well at the winery.

When summer arrives, it's time for Chillin and Grillin, and Mission Cellars has just the event for you! Burger Night is a great time to get out and enjoy the evening while having a fresh grilled burger and a glass of wine. What could be better than that? The burgers from Filhart Beef are farm raised beef from Greg's family in Michigan and they are DELISH! You won't find better quality or tastier meats anywhere!

This is an open event so anyone can attend. We hope to see you there.

Better than this, I hope......

When it's hot outside, we still have a nice cool tasting room. It's a great little get away, where you can relax and enjoy a tasty glass of wine. Let's cool off at The Mission.

On another musical front.....

Strings and Vines

The first guitar lesson was held at The Mission on July 21st and it was a good lesson enjoyed by those who attended. When you get a glass of wine with the lesson, how could you go wrong? The next one will be held on Thursday, August 18th from 7 to 8PM. The sessions are intended for beginners or for those who would just like to brush up on skills.

MIke Slayen is one of the musicians who has played for you at The Mission on Sunday's. His adult lessons are just $25 for an hour (7 to 8PM) and include a glass of wine of your choice. This is a group setting with small groups of 5 to 10 people and one lesson given at the winery each month. Please bring your own guitar. Other arrangements can be made with Mike directly.

You can view Mike's website at Theguitaraces.com and you can register for his classes or ask a question at mikeslayen@aol.com. Pick up that guitar - it's time for some fun!

Thank you for reading our Newsletter. We look forward to seeing you at The Mission.
