Newsletter - Term 1, Week 6

Friday, 18th March 2022

Kia ora koutou,

Thank you to all the parents who are starting to bring back the updated contacts form that went out a couple of days ago. It is really important that we have the most updated information available incase we need to get a hold of you in emergencies.

Cold and Flu Symptoms

This week we have seen an increasing number of students away from school due to presenting with cold and flu symptoms or simply because they have been household contacts of positive cases. We envisage that this trend will continue for another 3 weeks or so, Please be very very vigilant when checking for signs each morning with your own children.

A reminder that any student who is isolating because they are household contacts should be able to access the learning at home opportunities provided by their class teacher. If you need more work for your children who are at home then please make contact with your child's class teacher and they will arrange for this to happen.

Nga mihi,

Simon Bell

A big thank you to all those that have expressed an interest in purchasing a brick for our new entrance way.

Unfortunately this project has been delayed at present due to unforeseen circumstances, it will still be going ahead, just later in the year.

Those that have indicated that they would like to purchase a brick will be contacted when we know the project is starting.

We are still also taking expressions of interest for anyone wishing to purchase one. Please contact the school office.

Southland Swimming Champs

Well done to Kayla, Sophie, Laura, Jaxon, Stephanie and Isla who took part in the Southland Swimming Championships that took place at Splash Palace last Sunday. They swam extremely well and can feel proud of themselves for giving their best.
