What's Happening in PBS?
Week of 10/3-10/7
Hello!
Welcome to another week in PBS! This week we are all about HIPAA!
We start out on Monday looking at Anna's first autopsy. Then on Tuesday and Wednesday we will cover confidentiality and explore how medical records are handled responsibly in the medical field. Thursday we move into cell structure with the goal of identifying who the blood at the crime scene belongs to. We will take notes over basic cell structure/DNA and then do a demo on extracting DNA from strawberries. We will finish out the week on Friday with doing DNA extraction from the student's own cheek cells.
As for HOSA this week
- We start selling hot beverages to the general student population on Monday. Students can sell 10 coffee cards to their peers for fundraising PD points. They need to see me for details.
- Monday we have an Oncology RN coming in to be a guest speaker during collaboration.
- Tuesday is Scrubs Tuesday!
Let me know if you have any questions!
