Colleyville Heritage High School
Back-to-School Information
Welcome to 2022 - 2023
I am so excited for the new school year to begin. The last few months we have spent countless hours planning and preparing to welcome everyone to the building; with teachers returning on August 8, and students starting on August 17. This will be the best year yet at CHHS!
Below you will find important back to school information, including information about CAT Camp and Return-to-Learn, as well as Panther Pride Night. I encourage all students to make plans to attend on Friday, August 12, 2022, so that you are ready to start classes on August 17, and everyone is welcome to PACK the PAC for Panther Pride Night on August 13.
As you enjoy the last few lazy days of summer please enjoy and be safe. If you have any questions before school starts please feel free to stop by CHHS or give us a call. We welcome your calls, emails, and campus visits. #CHPantherPRIDE

Legacy Studios
Legacy Studios will be on campus all day Friday, August 12, 2022, to take yearbook/ID badge photos. In order to accomodate our Panthers, they will have three cameras set up.
Freshmen will need to attend Fish Camp where they will have pictures made. See below for detailed information about Fish Camp.
Upperclassmen will need to attend our first ever Return-to-Learn Time where Legacy Studios will be available between 1:00 - 6:00 PM for photos. See below for additional information.
Student ID Badges
Please support our efforts to ensure the safety and security of students and staff from day one of the new school year by having your picture made at the designated time and wearing your student ID badge. This can be done at CAT Camp for freshman, and Return-to-Learn for our upperclassmen.
Door Access Badges
As part of our continuing efforts to ensure the safety and security of all students and staff at CHHS, students need to wear their door access badge, along with their student ID badge, on a lanyard around their neck. The doors at CHHS are not unlocked, and should never be propped open. The door access badge allows students entry at multiple doors on the campus.
Safety has to be everyone's responsibility.

Back-to-School Supplies
Attendance
Attendance can be tricky at all levels, but especially in high school. Please keep the following in mind as we start the new school year:
- An ABSENCE means the student is not present in class for any reason
- There are two types of absences: excused and unexcused
- Excused absences include absences due to medical/dental appointment, illness, etc.
- Unexcused absences include absences that CHHS has no documentation for
- BOTH excused and unexcused absences count towards overall attendance and may cause a student to lose exam exemption opportunities and/or credit
- Unexcused absences may lead to truancy and court filings
Please make sure to be at school. If you have to miss, please contact your attendance clerk and send appropriate documentation upon return.
Food & Drink
The vending machines will be on timers. They will be turned on before school and after school.
CHHS is a closed campus, which means students may not leave campus for lunch and are expected to eat in the Panther Den.
Dress Code
- NO short shorts or skirts - we don't want to see your backside
- NO bare midriffs - shirts/tops must cover your stomach
- NO low cut tops - keep the cleavage covered up
- NO clothing that promotes violence, sex, drugs, alcohol, or vaping
Parking
Parking stickers may be obtained in the main office. Parking stickers cost $100 for the school year and may be paid for online, or with the CHHS bookkeeper. In order to secure a parking sticker, up to date vehicle information is required: license plate number, make, model, year, and color of vehicle.
