We hope that this newsletter finds you and your family staying warm and dry as we enjoy this change of the seasons. As we gear up for the holidays, our ELAC and PFO are planning to host a Posada, a wonderful school community celebration for the evening of December 9th. We are asking all individuals interested in helping to plan the Posada to come on November 18th at 2:30. Many hands make light work. If you are not able make the planning meeting, feel free to stop by the office to see how you can help to put on this school community event.

For the months of November and December, we are celebrating the lifeskills of gratitude and generosity. We have included a few videos here that showcase the lifeskill of gratitude:

Important reminders:

• Healthy Snacks: Students are encouraged to bring individually portioned snacks that are nutritious and support learning. Students are not allowed to have candy at school.
• "Phones Away During the Day." Not only does this phone policy help to avoid potential problems, it also helps students to remain focused on their learning.

Esperamos que este boletín los encuentre a usted y a su familia abrigados y secos mientras disfrutamos este cambio de estaciones. Mientras nos preparamos para las fiestas, nuestros comités de ELAC y PFO planean organizar una Posada, una maravillosa celebración de la comunidad escolar para la noche del 9 de diciembre. Estamos pidiendo a todas las personas interesadas en ayudar a planificar la Posada para el 18 de noviembre a las 2:30. Muchas manos hacen trabajo liviano.
