TUSD Robotics

2018-2019 Season: Issue 7

March 25th, 2019 Results From CA State Championships

TUSD Robotics teams have soared to the top of the competition winning numerous tournaments and awards during the qualification season. Several of our teams qualified multiple times for the CA State Championships and we sent a total of 23 teams to compete in these events held throughout the state.

Southern California is known to be one of the most competitive regions for VEX and VEX IQ Robotics. Our teams faced fierce competition at every CA State Championship and did remarkably well, taking home 2 tournament championship titles, 3 Excellence Awards, 4 Design Awards, and 2 Robot Skills championship titles. This proves that we are building well-rounded teams who not only excel at building and driving robots but also at documenting their design process and writing programs for their robots to score points autonomously.

In the end, TUSD Robotics teams earned a total of 20 awards at the CA State Championships and 11 invitations to the World Championships in Louisville, Kentucky.

Congratulations to all the teams who are moving on to the next round of competition!
