S1 FINAL MAKE-UPS

If your student missed their scheduled final due to illness, they may come in on January 4th, 5th and 6th from 8AM to 2PM to take their exam.

Make-up testing will take place in the testing center and students should enter the building via the main entrance (under the awning) and check in with security.

Home Internet Security Winter Break

Winter break is just around the corner, and it’s a good time to review your home Internet security plan and discuss responsible tech use with your student. With a break from school, students will likely spend more unsupervised time using their iPad. If you’ve not already done so, using the iPad’s Screen Time feature to establish web content restrictions, such as limiting adult content, is a great place to start. See here for instructions on how to set up content restrictions using screen time.

POST HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT PANEL

The BHS PTO is hosting its annual College Panel on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 7PM in the BHS auditorium.

All BHS students, along with their parents, are invited to learn more about college and post high school life and experiences from recent BHS alums. This is a candid and invaluable discussion!

INFORMATION REGARDING FENTANYL

In October 2021, Be Strong Together partnered with Good Shepherd Hospital and hosted several experts that shared information regarding the dangers of fentanyl and how to protect your child/others. This is the link to that presentation.

What you need to know about fentanyl-

We hope you all have a relaxing and restful winter break. Happy holiday to you and yours.

See Something, Say Something

Barrington 220 is now partnering with an Illinois school safety helpline aimed at providing students a place to report information that might prevent bullying, suicide, and campus violence. Safe2Help is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It allows students to confidentially share school safety issues via a mobile app, text, email, or phone call. You will notice that the "See Something, Say Something" button on our district and school website now links directly to the Safe2Help contact page. We are asking that all students, parents, staff, and community members now use this platform to report safety concerns. In the case of an emergency, call 911.
