The Nutcracker
A Magical Christmas Adventure
It's Southern California Ballet's Nutcracker season once again! Dec. 16 & 17 at the Poway Center for the Performing Arts
Now in its 26th year, Southern California Ballet's production has entertained over 20,000 people, bringing alive the joy of Tchaikovsky's much-loved holiday classic through the stunning art of ballet.
Created by founding Director Sylvia Palmer-Zetler in the tradition of the National Ballet of Canada and the Royal Ballet, UK, the production has maintained the unique storytelling quality and skillful dancing that have made it a magical experience for so many years.
Martha Leebolt and Toby Batley, now the full-time Co-Artistic Directors of Southern California Ballet, are once more staging this timeless classic!
This year's production includes guests from all over the country, notably San Diego native Isaiah Bindel. Isaiah trained at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and San Francisco Ballet, then went on to dance in the company DawsondanceSF. This will be Isaiah's third time performing with us as a guest artist, and we are excited to welcome his energetic and exciting dancing back to our stage!
We hope you will join us on December 16th or 17th, so that we can celebrate the holidays together in this most traditional of ways!
