K-3rd grade winter after school opportunities!

Drama Club

Come join the Drama Club to express yourself creatively as we perform various Readers' Theater! We will learn techniques for reading with expression and practice acting out stories to bring them to life!


Who: 2nd, and 3rd graders

When: Every Tuesday from 3:45-4:45 for 6 weeks starting January 12-February 16


Where: Meet in the Springview cafeteria and then move to Springview Room 210

Creative Writing

Come express yourself creatively through writing and become authors! Students will have a chance to write about their thoughts and use their imagination. During this class, we will work together through the steps of the writing process to publish a book!


Who: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders

When: Every Tuesday from 3:45-4:45 for 6 weeks starting January 12-February 16


Where: Meet in Springview cafeteria and then move to the Evergreen computer lab

Jr. First Lego League (Jr. FLL)

Do you enjoy working as a team & building with Legos? Then come join the Junior FIRST® LEGO® League. We will explore a real-world scientific concept through research, teamwork, construction, & imagination. LEGOs will be used to build a model that moves! There is a fee of $35 for this class for 1st time members (Checks made to APS).

Art Enrichment

Come express yourself creatively through art! You will have a chance to engage in different projects in order to create a new piece each week. We'll even end our session by making a tye-dye shirt! If you love art, this is the class for you! This class will cost $15 in order to cover the cost of the supplies and the t-shirts. Checks can be made out to APS.

Chess Club

This club is for students who have never played chess before and for those that have some experience! We will have older students helping teach some of the rules and strategies. Students will be partnered up appropriately and will engage in games together while they learn. We'll conclude our session with some "mini-tournaments".


Who: 2nd-5th graders

Storytime with Crafts

Come join us for a winter themed storytime and a craft! Students will engage in a fun, winter story and will then create a craft to represent something from the story.


Who: K-1st graders


Teacher: Mrs. Sampson and Mrs. Little


When: Every Tuesday from 3:45-4:45 from January 12-February 16


Where: Meet first in the Springview Cafeteria and then go to Evergreen Room 103 or 104

Tuneful, "Beat"ful, Musical

Come engage with songs and musical instruments after school! This hands on music class will explore rhythm and beats using different instruments, movement, and songs!


Who: Springview and Evergreen kindergarten students

When: Tuesdays from 3:45-4:45 from January 12-February 16


Where: Mr. DeZwaan's Springview music room
