Portmanteau
Portmanteau (port/man/toe) is a french word that means a suitcase that opens into two parts.
In Alice through the Looking Glass, Alice has a meeting with Humpty Dumpty. As part of their conversation she asks him if he know what the poem Jabberwocky is about.
He explains that some of the words are Portmanteau words - there are two meanings packed into one word.
Slithy - means lithe and slimy.
Mimsy - flimsy and miserable
Frumious - fuming and furious
