We publish more than 25 local news stories daily, produce premium events such as Taste of Fort Collins, and activate audiences daily for our hundreds of local business partners. We are currently running a promotion called Teacher Tuesday that recognizes outstanding educators in Northern Colorado. This is a monthly contest that goes throughout the school year, with 2 phases per month. In the first phase, we ask parents, students, and faculty to nominate teachers they think go above and beyond their job description, and tell their stories about these special individuals. Our selection committee then takes the top 6 submissions from that month and allows our community to vote on them. Whichever teacher has the most votes after a roughly week-long period wins the contest for that month, and will be announced on-air & online.
The winning teacher will be featured on our website and receive a $25 gift card to the Union or Rodizio Grill, and their school will receive a $500 donation provided by the University of Northern Colorado.

Tardy Policy
A student is tardy if they are not in the required classroom or teaching station when the passing period has ended. There are two types of tardies:
Excused - with another staff member or administrator (get a pass from that teacher before going to the next class), extreme circumstances in the morning at home (car trouble, illness, etc. - Parents or guardians are asked to call or write a note including the reason for the tardy).
Unexcused - oversleeping, arriving at class late without a pass from a staff member, going to the lockers or restroom and arriving late (asking the teacher first before going will eliminate being counted tardy), arriving at school late with no note or a call, or repeated morning tardies. This also includes in between class tardies.
