Stilwell Monday Message

Weekly Student and Family Communication

Monday - 10/5/2020

Good Morning Stilwell students and families,

The month of October brings our fall conferences which are scheduled on Wednesday, October 14th, and Thursday, October 15th please click here to sign-up for a virtual or phone conference.

For additional information about our virtual learning day on Wednesday, October 14th, please click here.

We would like to remind students and families to please have a mask on when you get to Stilwell each day. We understand that sometimes students forget the mask at home or in the car being dropped off and we do have masks available for students. We have started to notice our additional mask supply running rather low. If you are willing and able we would love some additional donations of disposable face masks for students to use for a day. Thank you all so much for your continued partnership and support.

Parking Lot Protocol

We understand our parking lot drop-off and pick-up process can be time-consuming. However, we need all families to follow the procedures to ensure our students are safe. Please remember these guidelines:

  • Do not drop off your student or stop for any reason along Vine Street.
  • Do not pull into the bus lanes along Vine Street.
  • Do not allow your student to exit the vehicle until you have pulled up to the curb in the parking lot.
  • Please drive slowly through the parking lot and on Vine St.

Building Opening and Closing Hours

Each morning the building will open to students at 7:20 am. Students riding their bikes, walk or receiving rides should be using the west entrance that faces Grand Avenue. Students riding the bus will use the south entrance that faces Vine Street. We ask that students continue to social distance during this time.

Each afternoon the building will close to students 10 minutes after the last bell. This would be 2:45 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and would be 2:00 on Wednesdays. We are asking that all students have left the Stilwell campus 20 minutes after the last bell.

After The Bell

After the bell is an additional opportunity at the end of the day to get support with learning from a certified teacher. It will start on Tuesday, September 8th in the Stilwell cafeteria. Students will receive an additional snack using social distancing and are welcome to stay until 4:00 pm. After the bell will run each week Monday-Thursday. For more information please contact Mr. Peter Bissinger at bissingerp@wdmcs.org.

Stilwell Student Handbook 20-21

Throughout this year you may have questions, need clarifications, or might need to see who you can turn to for help. Please start with the Junior High Schools Handbook.
