3rd Grade
Newsletter for October 6, 2016
From the Teacher's Pen
What a relief to have a normal week with all our routines in place. The rain didn't really even bother us. Unfortunately, next week will start out not normal for me. On Monday I will be at St. Mark's Catholic School in Shoreline as part of an accreditation team. Mrs. Albert will be the substitute. Mrs. Albert used to teach 5th grade here at St. Mikes and currently coaches the 5th graders to prepare them for the Shakespeare performance. I know the 3rd graders will love her - hmmm, they may not want me back.
Dress For The Weather
The students should expect to have outdoor play every day. That means that your child should have water-proof outer wear. What I tell the students is if they do not have water-proof coats with a hood or with a hat, then they will need to play in the covered area. Umbrellas are not permitted out at recess as they are not safe. Also, boots may be worn outside but not in the classroom.
