Elevo PE Program

This week’s games are Present Pickup and Knockout, and the focus is leadership.

Leadership is the ability of a person or a group of people to influence and guide others to be their best selves. We all have strong leaders in our lives, and they aren’t always the people we immediately think about. Leaders aren’t just politicians, teachers, or coaches, they can be students like yours!

A good leader inspires people to do their best and helps guide them to achieve their goals. Good leadership can create a vision and can motivate people to make it a reality. The best way to lead is by example because it helps others see their own potential.

Breakfast and lunch will continue to be provided to all students at no cost this school year. Breakfast is served before school starts, beginning at 8:00. Please be sure to have your child here at 8:00, if you would like them to eat breakfast before school starts. This ensures they have enough time to finish.

All students need to be sure they let their teacher know the day before they are buying lunch. We may not have enough lunches if they do not request one. Also, please remind your child that they should not be getting lunch if they are bringing one.

You can find the breakfast and lunch menu here:https://docs.isitesoftware.com/snaf-assets/snaf-static/greenmenus/2501081743337031/2023/2/596363-February_2023_Elementary_Menu.pdf

COVID-19 Procedures and Safety

Individuals who are sick or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms should contact their healthcare provider and stay home. If your child or a member of your household has tested positive or is awaiting COVID-19 test results, please follow public health guidance.

If your child tests positive for COVID-19 or experiences COVID-19 symptoms, please contact the school and/or email me at erosselli@orangeusd.org. We will gather information from you and provide you with your options.

If a student tests positive, they are required to isolate. The isolation guidance requires 10 days without testing from when symptoms began or a positive test (whichever comes first). The student can return to school on day 11; however, if a student tests negative on day 5 using an FDA-approved antigen test and all symptoms have improved that student is able to return to school on day 5. If a home test was used, students will need to bring the attestation form to the office upon their return. The student must be fever-free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medication.

Please refer to the OUSD Safety and Health Driven Plan and the County of Orange Health Officer’s Orders directly for more information.
