About our week...
This week was all about plants and how they grow. We labeled the parts of a plant. We also talked about what plants need to grow and survive. We read the books- "The Tiny Seed" by Eric Carle and "Planting a Rainbow" by Lois Ehlert. The kids had a fun time learning about all the silly names for flowers.
At the end of the week we planted our own seeds in soil. We have them in front of the window so that they get good lighting from the sun. We are also sure to water them each day to help them stay hydrated! We have a competition to see who's grows the tallest!
We may have gotten into a water fight!?
Who's will sprout first!?
Next Week..
Next week is all about bugs! We will learn all about critters that we see outside, sometimes inside and ALL AROUND! I am excited to go on our bug hunt too! We will be reading the books: "The Ant and the Grasshopper", "Bugs, Bugs, Bugs", "Hi Fly Guy" and "Why Mosquitoes Buzz in Peoples Ears".
What we are working on...
We did a great job learning about "5 Star Sentences" this week. We learned that sentences need-
1. Capital Letters
2. Spaces between words
3. End Marks (punctuation)
4. Words spelled correctly
5. Complete thoughts (who? did what?)
