Message from the President of the Booster Club
Dear Cougar Nation,
The Booster Club is kicking off the new semester with its monthly meeting on Wednesday, January 13, at 5:30 p.m. in St. Joe’s on the high school campus. As you know, the Booster Club supports our football, basketball, volleyball, soccer, cross country, track, baseball, softball, golf, robotics, cheerleading, dance, and fine arts (theater, art, photography, journalism, etc.) programs.
We are excited about the upcoming semester. The spring semester is filled with a large number of activities that the Booster Club helps support. That said, we need your help to make this semester extra special for our students. If you oversee any of the above programs and/or your child participates in any of the above programs, we would like to see you at this month’s meeting. We must have your support and hear your suggestions on how we can make this semester special for our students and school.
I look forward to seeing you on Wednesday.

For parents of students seeking to be confirmed at St Louis this coming spring: There will be a mandatory Confirmation Parent Meeting on Wednesday, January 20th at 7 pm in the SLAC. Again, a parent is required to attend this meeting to receive the necessary paperwork and instruction on the confirmation preparation process.
Also, please ask your son or daughter to be thinking about who they would like to ask to be their Confirmation Sponsor, the person they would like to have stand with them as they enter into full communion with the Church and to continue journeying in faith with them throughout their life. This person must be a practicing Catholic, attending Mass each Sunday and if married, must have been married in the Catholic Church.
Additionally, please ask your son or daughter to be thinking about who they would like to have as their patron saint for confirmation. This is a person in heaven who will pray for them as they enter into the Church and live as a disciple of Christ.
We will talk more about both of these things at the Parent Meeting, but it's never too early to begin thinking about these things. We will be asking your child to decide on both their patron saint and sponsor in the coming months, so please encourage them to start thinking about these things now. If you have any questions about these things, please email email@example.com.
